Fathers in Front of Bars supports children and families affected by parental incarceration, helping strengthen family connections and create opportunities for young people to grow.

We focus on children with incarcerated parents and the parents, caregivers, and family members supporting them. Every child deserves to be seen for who they are and what they can become.

Fathers in Front of Bars has served over 500 children. Behind every number is a child, a caregiver, and a family story.

Founder James Hill brings the perspective of a former school guidance counselor and a family member who understands the weight of incarceration. His experience is at the heart of Fathers in Front of Bars.
